Solved New external domain name

Post by richdoc April 7th 2012, 16:06

Hi,

I just purchased a domain name outside of Forumotion. I have added a CNAME from the registrar using the FROM alias as the new domain name (www.gaming4grownups.co.uk) and the To HOSTNAME as the old forumotion domain name (www.gaming4grownups.forumotion.co.uk).

Despite this when I try to validate the new name via the Admin panel I get the following error :

The supplied domain name is not well configured
Your CNAME must redirect to : gaming4grownups.forumotion.co.uk

Am I doing something wrong or do I need to give it more time to settle before I can do the validation?

Thanks

Hi!

I think you should wait until Monday, because in week-end technicians aren't working. Very Happy
